LUEM PHUA,
Thailand’s Glutinous Rice

Luem Phua, its Thai’s name derives from a claim that this sticky rice variety is so delicious that the wife tasted and finished all of it, forgetting to leave the rice for her husband.

    Cooking Methods For normal rice cooker

This sticky rice has to be submerged in clean water for at least 19 hours,

drained and cook in fresh water in the following proportion by volume rice : water 1 : 1

After the rice is cooked, please let it simmer for at least 30 minutes.
Ready to serve.

For computerized rice cooker
- No need to submerge the rice for 19 hrs in water. Select unpolished rice program.

- Put rice and fresh water in the cooker in the following proportion by volume rice : water 1 : 1.5
- After the rice is cooked, please let it simmer for at least 30 minutes.
